Διάκριση ελληνικού ντοκιμαντέρ για την αγροτική ζωή!
Το βραβείο καλύτερου ντοκιμαντέρ μικρού μήκους του εφετινού Arclight Documentary Film Festival στο Λος Αντζελες (5-10 Νοεμβρίου) απονεμήθηκε στο «Farming On Crisis?» που σκηνοθέτησε ο Χάρης Ντώνιας, ο οποίος χρηματοδοτήθηκε από το Ολλανδικό Υπουργείο Γεωργίας.
Το ντοκιμαντέρ «Farming On Crisis?» καταγράφει ένα ταξίδι του ρεπόρτερ Παύλου Γεωργιάδη κατά μήκος της χώρας, όπου ανακαλύπτει τις ιστορίες νέων σε ηλικία αγροτών και τις προοπτικές αναβάθμισης τις οικονομίας μέσα από τη βιώσιμη αγροτική ανάπτυξη.

Pavlos Georgiadis’ video blog ‘Farming on Crisis?’ has been awarded best short documentary at the second annual Arclight Cinemas documentary festival in Hollywood!
The video blog was produced in collaboration with the Foodpolitics.eu, the Netherlands Agrarisch Jongeren Kontakt, the Youth Food Movement (Slow Food) and with the support of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation. In fact, last year a similar film was produced in the Dutch countryside; the Greek one adding a southern perspective. Both films aim to highlight the differences and commonalities in European food and farming politics and initiate a public dialogue on these issues.
Short CV: Pavlos Georgiadis was born and raised in Alexandroupoli, Greece. He is the founder of the Convivium Slow Food Thrace , Greece Coordinator of the Slow Food Youth Network and European Outreach Coordinator of nourish9billion . In his professional life, he specializes in Ethnobiology, with field research experience in India, Thailand and China.
He is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh with a BSc/(Hons) in Biological Sciences/(Plant Science) and an MSc in Biodiversity & Taxonomy of Plants achieved in the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. He moved to the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, for a second MSc in Environmental Protection & Food Production, and is now completing his doctoral studies in the Social Sciences of the Agricultural Sector.
